Museo di Arte Non Convenzionale

The Palazzo Spini Feroni is one of the oldest buildings in Florence, Italy. The palazzo has been redesigned and re-purposed throughout its history, currently used for the Salvatore Ferragamo headquarters, boutique, and museum.

Arte Povera or “Poor Art” is an art movement which originated in Italy at the end of the 1960s and the beginning of 1970s. The movement contrasts new and old elements re-purposing them to make new art. The work of Jannis Kounellis, Mario Merz, and Michelangelo Pistoletto, three of the most prominent artists in the movement will be exhibited.

The concept of the museum is based off of Pistoletto’s “Three Paradise” manifesto. The manifesto describes three paradises: the first describes humans fully integrated with nature. The second represents the artificial world humans have created. The third depicts humans uniting once again to live in balance with nature.

Zeitz Mocaa Museum Exhibition

The project was in collaboration with the International Design Clinic and, Indalo World and the Zeitz Mocaa Museum. The purpose of the project was to develop a connection between the Zeitz Museum, technology and rural townships. This work was done in a group environment, each group member participated in creating their own graphics and coming up with their own research in order to add to the groups work.

The proposal is grounded in audio visual (AV) techniques to create an experience that focuses on visually performative, atmospheric, colored light. This light is emitted from flood or projection sources onto screened and opaque surfaces that engage the viewer both immersively and from afar. The work will holistically serve as a medium to share the work of Zeitz MOCAA, Indalo World and the International Design Clinic with a wide audience through the use of honestly sourced materials and minimally direct, subject-based experiences.

Velour Bleu Bar + Lounge

Built in 1913 Michigan Central Station served for 75 years. In 1988 the station closed its doors until 2018 when Ford took ownership. In 2018, Ford bought the Michigan Central Station and is currently renovating the structure to create a new innovative hub in Detroit.

The concept of this project was to create a high end restaurant that reflected the city of Detroit. The space inspired by Detroit’s music life. The space include a champagne lounge, private lounge, cigar room, private dining room, main dining, kitchen and restrooms.

Boutique Hotel Room

The purpose of the project was to choose a hotel scheme and create a design that connects both location, scheme and design together. The location chosen was Amsterdam, Netherlands. The chosen hotel scheme was Boutique, which includes authentic, sleek, eccentric and local flavors into the design. In order to incorporate local flavor, a darkfloral wall paper inspired by the still life paintings of the Dutch Golden Age was chosen for the room.
